Awesome Awesome Awesome Weekend

This past weekend was great. Anthony and I had planned on taking Annabelle to St. Louis for the entire weekend. We wanted to visit the City Museum and the Zoo before we took her to see Randy Houser. Well last minute one of our hotels cancelled our reservation. We decided just to head down EARLY Saturday morning and fit in what we could.

We drove by the arch and took a few pictures and then we headed to the zoo. I cannot recommend the St. Louis zoo enough if you have kids. Annabelle had such an amazing time checking out all of the animals, and watching Anthony with her makes my heart swoon. He is such a great dad, and Annabelle is so very lucky to have him, and I am so very lucky to have him.

Our next stop after the zoo was Union, MO where our concert was going to be. They had a county fair going on, and it was so cute. We paid $20 each for Anthony and I to be able to enter and Anna was free. Anna was able to ride all of the carnival rides for free because they came with the admission price. There were not thousands and thousands of people everywhere since it was in such a small town. She had a great time, and so did I. She surprised me with not being scared on the rides!

To end the night we saw Randy Houser perform, when I contacted the fair about buying tickets they offered us VIP seats since we were traveling so far. We also got the awesome opportunity to participate in the meet and greet with him. My girl was a rock star and won his heart over. She is such an awesome kid. She danced and sang her booty off.

We came home Sunday morning, and we were all very very tired from the day before. It was so so worth the memories we made though.

Exciting Weekend

I didn't have a post up Friday because this mama has been busy. I mean ridiculously busy.

But.. this weekend was a blast

On Friday night we went and watched one of my very best friend's son play baseball. It is no secret that Anna loves anything to do with baseball/softball and all of the attention she gets from her Aunt Mary and Uncle Tyler so she had a good time. His team won and he played great!

Saturday we hit the water park with our favorite cousins. I didn't get a shot of all 3 of them, but they thought it was super fun! We also went to dinner with Anthony's parents and went with them to pick out/set up an iPad for his mom.

Anna hates water in her eyes, so she wore these crazy goggles

And finally Sunday we acquired tickets to Country Stampede in Manhattan, KS to see Randy Houser. We were given what we thought were meet and greets, and boy were we surprised when we found out they were really backstage seats. Annabelle shook her booty off, and sang like crazy. Randy Houser even re-tweeted her picture. She let me know after the concert that she loved him, and he loved her so that means that they are married. Everywhere we go she gets so much attention, I know she is cute but she also has such a sweet personality and talks to everyone everywhere.

This weekend was a blast, I love my little family and I love being able to give Annabelle great memories.

Taking a family trip

Anthony and I live on a pretty tight budget, there isn't a ton of room for extras like vacations. However, I am very excited that we are taking a short weekend trip with Anna in a few weeks.

We planned our trip around seeing this guy in concert.
Yep, we are going to see Randy Houser in Union, MO.

We are also planning on taking Anna to the St. Louis Zoo, The Magic House, and the St. Louis Arch! She is very excited to go on a "bacation" with mommy and daddy and of course she is excited to see Randy Houser!

It is going to be great!

Oh Randy Houser

If you follow me on twitter (if you don't you should @Melodylb) anyway.. so if you follow me on twitter you have probably noticed my absurd amount of tweet to my favorite artist Randy Houser.

It's a little embarrassing, but seriously he is amazing.

Last year I was able to go to 3 of his concerts..

In June we went to Lincoln, Nebraska, it was so so hot. We got to the festival where he was going to be very early so we could be in the front row and stood for around 12 hours. It was an amazing show and we had an awesome time.
Lincoln, NE June 2012
In September I talked my husband into going on a trip for our Anniversary that included a stop to see the Houser in concert in Tulsa, OK. We made the stop at the Tulsa State Fair which was HUGE. Anthony and I had been to Tulsa before when he was thinking about taking a job there a few years ago. After Tulsa we headed to Eureka Springs, AR and then to Branson, MO. All in all it was a pretty good time and the local radio station in Tulsa gave me meet and greets to see Randy! It was amazing!

The last show was an acoustic concert here in town, I was able to take my Aunt Dee with me and it was one of my most favorite shows I've been to.

Kansas City, MO December 2012

My sister and I had shirts made to wear to his concerts, don't judge me!
Top: Front of shirt
Bottom: Back of shirt

So seriously, his music rocks. His concerts are awesome.. take a listen.
